Edmunds.com is one of the leading online resources for automotive information, drawing in over 20 million user visits per month. Consumers turn to Edmunds for trustworthy auto research as well as shopping for new and used vehicles.
Insider is Edmunds' registration & membership program aimed at enabling the company’s mission to make car buying easy. Its goal is to personalize the car shopping process for all Edmunds users, and to enhance the car buying experience for the most engaged users.
My Role
Design and launch the initial phase touchpoints, which included: responsive Dashboard, Sign up/Sign in flows, and email flows
Strategize and brainstorm features with stakeholders to shape the product
Continuously update wireframes based on research findings and feedback
Created a fully functional prototype to share with stakeholders
Collaborate with research team to created user testing scripts and conducted user testing sessions
Results
KPI’s: Success metrics were specific to increasing the number of registrations as well as increasing 7-day visitation.
• 150k registered users
• Return rate 60%, compared to original return rate of 17% (tripled)
• 23k users coming back 2x month -- Increased lead close, higher quality leads
